About New London County Court Records

Court records in New London County are handled through Connecticut's statewide Judicial Branch, not through a county court or county clerk. Superior Court records, Probate Court files, town vital records, Department of Correction inmate data, and DMV driver histories each have different access points. We built this site so visitors can identify the right state court, town clerk, agency portal, address, or phone number before starting a records request.

Why We Built This Site

Connecticut gives the public access to many court and agency records, but New London County does not have a county clerk of court, county court, or county sheriff jail roster. Superior Court files are handled by the Judicial Branch Chief Clerk's Offices at the New London Judicial District, Geographical Area 10 at New London, and Geographical Area 21 at Norwich. Probate records are handled by Connecticut Probate Courts, marriage certificates by town clerks and the State Vital Records Office, and inmate status by the Department of Correction. We pull those local channels, portals, fee notes, and office contacts into one county-focused reference.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Connecticut court, Chief Clerk's Office, Probate Court, town clerk, Department of Correction facility, DMV office, public safety agency, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

  • We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.
